Sewing class for Adults

We offer you all the materials so that you can concentrate only on learning!

You'll be provided with a Singer Heavy Duty sewing machine to use in class, as well as fabric, thread, needles, rulers, pattern paper, among others. Also a manual with important sewing information depents of the class you're taking.

CLASS OF HOW TO USE A SEWING MACHINE

LEVEL ONE

This class is perfect for those who wants only needs to learn how to use the sewing machine.

What are you going to learn?

How to use and manage the sewing machine
How to understand and use the tools of the sewing machine
How to properly thread the sewing machine
How to make a button hole
Practicing sewing straight and curves stitches with paper
Practicing sewing straight and curves stitches with pieces of fabrics

At the end on the class you will be able to manage 100% the sewing machine if you're open to learn.

All materials are included, you just have to bring yourself and an open mind to learn.

Total price: $165 dollars for one time class of 3 hours.

CLASS OF IMPORTANT BASIC SEWING TECHNIQUES

LEVEL TWO

What Students will learn?

How to use a domestic sewing machine
How to take and understand mesurements
How to use step by step sewing tools
How to undestand pattern and cut with fabric
How to use interfecing and add it to the fabric
How to sew different type of zippers
How to sew different type of pockets
How to sew different type hems
How to sew different type of buttons/staps/loops...
Also how to sew sleeves, collar, and more... depends on the student's progress.

At the end of the program you will assemble a basic skirt or top in your size ( not custom made ).
You'll keep an album with all the sample projects you made during the class as references for your own queries in the future.
Our classes are a detailed study of each project followed by a sewing expert.

Each student will have a domestic Singer heavy duty machine to use in class.

Time: Four intense class program of 3 hours each Saturday with 15 minutes break time.

Hours: From 9 am to 12 pm or 1 pm to 4 pm.

BEGINNERS CLASS GROUP

Our beginners class group come to Sewing by Liz without knowing how to thread or knowing how the sewing machine, but step by step after 4 classes program they ended up making they own final project.

Learn how to make Tote / Make up / Pouch bags

YOU MOST KNOW HOW TO USE A DOMESTIC SEWING MACHINE.

Tote, Pouch and Make up are perfect bags to learn new skills to sell, for yourself or for a beautiful gift.

What Students will learn?

How to cut three different bags
How to assemble three different bags ( Tote, Pouch and Make up bag ).
How to decorate and modify those bags
How to add zippers those bags
How to make a profit with them
You will have free pattern to take home to keep practicing your bags.

Time: Cost of the class $194.99 for 6 hours class

Hours: Two Saturdays with 3 hours each class

Note: Classes are taught on Saturday mornings from 9 am to 12 pm or afternoons 1 pm to 4 pm, but if you prefer weekdays let us know the say and time you can do it.

Alteration sewing class

What the students will learn?

How to cut and hem pants and skirts with a sewing machine or by hand.
How to properly cut the hem and sleeves of a men's or women's shirt.
How to properly cut the hem of a men's or women's t-shirt.
How to use or sew on the Over Lock machine
How to sew different kinf of buttons.
How to fix a zipper on a pants or skirt ( NO jacket ).

Requirements to be in this class:

Before taking this class the student should know how to use a domestic sewing machine, If you don't know how to sew, you should take first the beginning class ( CLASS OF HOW TO USE A SEWING MACHINE ) if you know how to manage a domestic sewing machine, but you do not know how to sew then you should take this class ( CLASS OF IMPORTANT BASIC SEWING TECHNIQUES ).
